21-year-old Mayank Yadav, who was making his IPL debut, surprised everyone by bowling the very first ball at a speed of 147 km/h. Mayank, who came to bowl the 10th over of the innings, bowled a yorker to Jonny Bairstow on the very first ball.
He bowled the third ball of this over at a speed of 150 and showed that he has a treasure of speed. LSG’s pacer crossed the speed of 145 continuously in the first over and it seemed that India had got another speed king. Mayank took three wickets in four overs in his debut match, giving away only 27 runs.

In his second over, Mayank even crossed the mark of 155. He got all three wickets due to speed. The debutant showed the way to the pavilion to Bairstow by inviting him to pull a short ball at a speed of 141.
Mayank also got the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh due to his speed. Prabhsimran went to pull a short pitch ball bowled at the speed of 147 but was completely beaten by the speed and the ball did not come on the bat properly.

Mayank performed well in the Under-23 Colonel CK Naidu last year and took 15 wickets in six matches. In this, he took five wickets in a single match against Chhattisgarh. Apart from this, he also contributed 66 runs with the bat.

Talking about Mayank’s career, he plays domestic cricket for Delhi and has played only one first-class match so far. Mayank has played 17 List-A and 10 T20 matches. Mayank has 34 wickets in List-A and his economy has also been 5.35. In T20, Mayank has taken 12 wickets with an excellent economy of 6.44.
Lucknow bought him at a base price of 20 lakhs in IPL 2022 but due to injury he was replaced by Arpit Guleria in the next season. But when he got a chance to showcase his talent in 2024, he did not miss it. It is expected that Indian fans will enjoy Mayank’s pace in the 17th IPL season.
