Hassan Ali has grabbed 8 wickets in 5 matches so far for Karachi Kings in the ongoing PSL 9.

Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy Hero Hasan Ali is eyeing a comeback into the national team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. He is playing for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League Season 9 and has expressed his desire to make a grand comeback by performing brilliantly in the PSL 9. Hassan Ali believes through ultimate efforts and day-night hard work he will get his place in the national team for the T20 World Cup in June.

The 29-year-old pacer wants to grab the attention of national selectors through his brilliant performance in the ongoing ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Pakistan pacer is also working very hard on his fitness because he believes fitness is a key aspect of performing well on a big stage.

“My wish and efforts are to get a place in the national team for the World Cup. I’m working hard for this and want to get the selectors’ attention with my performance, said Hassan Ali to the media in Karachi.

Karachi Kings pacer wants to represent Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 in June and for this, his first target is to get his place for a five-match T20 series against New Zealand starting next month in Pakistan.

“I hope to be successful in representing the country in the [T20] World Cup by performing well. My goal is the upcoming T20 series [against New Zealand], where I will strive to demonstrate better performance,” Hassan said.

Hassan Ali recently completed his 100 T20 wickets in the PSL and became the only second bowler after Wahab Riaz to achieve this milestone. His side Karachi Kings has only managed to win two matches out of five in the PSL 9 so far but Hassan Ali’s performance was good in those games.

“We are playing good cricket in the PSL. We suffered defeats in two tough games, but we will try to win the upcoming matches and make Karachi’s fans happy with victories,” said Hassan Ali about his team’s goals.

Hassan Ali’s Performance in the PSL 9 so far:

0-38 in 4 overs against Multan Sultans
3-30 in 3.5 overs against Peshawar Zalmi
2-29 in 4 overs against Lahore Qalandars
1-42 in 3.3 overs against Islamabad United
2-39 in 4 overs against Quetta Gladiators
